The sleeping area was fine but our bathroom was very old, difficult to flush the toilet and the bath was very slippery (not ideal for seniors). On the first day, some came to make the bed for our son, but didn’t close the door properly. Luckily nobody stole anything as we were out for dinner and came back at 21:00 to see our door half open. Our view, wasn’t the best either, but that was just bad luck as the other side facing the pool was more pleasant.
The pool closes at 19:30, which is very early during the summer and when the heat was 40 degrees most days. I understand you don’t want to disturb guests all night, but 22:00 would be more reasonable, as cleaning only happens in the morning anyway.
There was a second level next to the pool that was closed to the public for some reason, nothing was ever explained, but it would have been nice as there are only 4 lounge chairs by the pool, the rest are chairs.
Breakfast was mediocre, but enough variety to find something to eat.
Upon leaving, we did see cockroaches in the garbage level, so that was concerning for what might be coming to higher floors soon.
The hotel is only about a 10 minute walk to the centre, which was just fine with us,
Lovely family run Hotel, 10/15 minutes from the lake promenade, where there is an abundance of restaurants, however, I must add that some members of staff did not display a welcome attitude, also the lack of coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms does not foster a relaxing atmosphere.
